you may have heard of a small band called coldplay? coldplay are huge and chris marten is from my city; they're playing a homecoming gig soon in december for fifty pounds. lily allen and la roux are playing aswell so i was quite up for going, but not for fifty pounds i wasn't. coldplay will play more homecoming gigs, so i can wait. i'm not crazy about lily or la roux so i'm not very bothered. it's sold out all ready anyway, so all hope is gone for my friends who planned to go. i voted for coldplay for the nme awards early next year for best video. 'strawberry swing' is such an amazing video, i've always been interested in stop motion videos and attempted to make some of my own but they never look very good. 'yellow' and 'lost' are two of my favourite songs and i would like to see them live, but not this year. maybe next time they visit exeter again.
