today i met with my friend sophie for shopping at a drink in costa. it was really nice considering we hardly ever do stuff together.
we decided to give high street shops a rest so we went around all the charity/thrift shops in the town. i was quite shocked at how easily i found stuff today. usually when i mooch around charity shops i have to look extra hard.
the first one we went in i found this red cardigan and fell in love with it. it was only four pounds, bargain. there was a really nice grey coat too and that was only eight pounds but it was too short in the arms and a bit tight.
i saw so many cardigans and jewellry i liked today it was mad. i only really go charity shopping when i'm in the mood, so i've only done it seven or eight times and things never really leap out at me, but they were coming out of the walls today.
my mum says the cardigan is far to big. it is a large, but it just fits like my other thrifted cardigan does. it's slouchy and i love love love it.
i've decided to try and buy less high street clothes now unless i absolutely love them to bits. it's not like i'm loaded and have money to burn. charity clothes seem to fit nicer, are more unique and of course cheaper, so it makes more sense. i'm not trying to be one of these 'vintage' kids. i have a few bits of vintage, but just because it's from a charity shop doesn't mean its really old or vintage. i'd love to have a wardrobe of clothes that i know no-one else has. ahh, the good life.

edit: okay, so after standing infront of the mirror and tugging at various parts of the cardigan, maybe it is a bit large. i'll have to see if my gran can adjust it and take it in for me. if not, i'm just going to have to deal with it. nip it in with a belt.
