best tracks: summer song, i'm in love with a ripper, don't fight the darkness

Jona Bechtolt, also known as Yacht is an electronic musician from the united states. This album 'see mystery lights' is a follow up to the 2007 album 'i believe in you, your magic is real' and is no disapointment. Summer Song is the stand out track for me. although repetitive, it's bursting with catchy, basic tunes and 'claps' that really grab you. my favourite songs by Yacht are an equal mixture from albums, EPs, 'hidden' songs i grabbed off myspace and bsides. Each song is pretty different from the rest, it's obvious Jona isn't scared to try new things out. Upbeat tracks include Hock It (remix) and then songs that you can't help but fall asleep to includes Moot Point and Now It's All Over Like The Birds. There's not much i can say about this album, it's so hard to explain, you'll really have to hear it for yourself to understand. I found Yacht whilst browsing myspace and was quite suprised to hear Summer Song in Topshop and was the only person singing along. I have heard nothing similar to Yacht and this album is great. One of my favourite bands without a doubt. Jona has done an amazing job with this project.
