My latest obsession: Quadrophenia. A film about the Mods and Rockers, musical differences all that stuff. Two groups hating eachother because of no good reason, or no apparent reason, like 'emos' and 'indies' now. Hate eachother, no reason why.
I've wanted to watch this film for so long and was going to buy it the other day but stopped myself, good job i did too, my dad had it on dvd so i saved myself a fiver there. My dad says he would have been a rocker, i think i would have fitted in with the mods quite nicely. Some of the characters remind me of my friends in a way, only slightly though.
In a nut shell, the mods and rockers go down to Brighton to 'have it out' and it's all quite entertaining. house parties, pill popping, road trips and scooters all make a good film. It's such a classic film, you just have to see it at one point in your life. Phil Daniels is a legend.
