I had a longish car ride today to Exeter but we had to drive round the long way on the motorway because the place we had to go was on the far side of the city. I'm sick of my mum pumping Enrique Iglesias' album out of the car so I decided to make a playlist so I didnt have to do the whole 'slump in the chair and cover my face while my mum sings to Enrique to avoid embarrassment' thing. I snatched my iPod from the speakers and quickly threw together an 'on the go' playlist in the first five minutes or so of the ride. My parents were busy nattering away about some stuff and I sat in the back, crossed legged (as i usually do when i'm sat in a large space) staring out of the window. I was shocked at how well these songs went with the 'road trip' feel of the ride. They suited the views of the over taking cars, the tall lamposts, road signs, bridges and distant rolling hills. Admittedly, the didn't suit the views once we got into the residential parts of Exeter, but it suited the motorway.
If you want to steal my playlist then here it is.
All of the songs will be hyperlinked to youtube, so
you can just click to listen. Download them for the
next time you're on the motorway.
