It was my first day of work today. I work at Budgens- a small supermarket chain. I thought the music there would be terrible, probably be on Heart Radio pumping out Leona Lewis, JLS and Robbie Williams but we had it on Xfm and I swear to god, the tunes on there helped me through the training. Being on the tills was getting a little tedious but 'Parklife' came on and me and my brother were dancing behind the counter and it was fun. He works there too. Xfm is brilliant, it plays all the kind of stuff I love. They were playing Blur, Joy Division, Jamie T, Vampire Weekend, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Artic Monkeys, Mumford & Sons. Everything. I was serving people while bobbing along to awesome songs. I was ready for the worst- Jason Derulo, perhaps some Justin Beiber but all in all the music was wicked. I know 'music at work' isn't really a big deal, but it was a pleasant surprise, that's all.

The Xfm website is pretty cool, click here to go there.
