I've been listening to Of Montreal so much lately. I was looking back over some really, really old NMEs that I have and stumbled across them in the gig reviews. I thought they had quite an interesting look, so I checked them out sometime last week and I have fallen in love. I have been aware of the name for a long, long, long time but never really got round to listening to them properly. I am disappointed in myself. My descriptions of sounds are usually terrible, so forgive me; but Of Montreal are quite bassy with 'groovy' drum beats. The vocals make me sing along and sway or dance. They kind of make me think of warm summer nights.
