this is old news that i have forgotten to share:

Other people have been consulted about the job but i really do hope Damon gets it. He and his Gorillaz partner, Jamie made the title sequence for the english coverage of the Beijing Olympics seen here. The Beijing opening ceremony will be hard to beat, it was amazing to watch, i'd never seen anything like it. I just hope England doesn't embarrass itself when it's our turn. How do we receive the torch? Leona bloody Lewis and Jimmy Page ontop of a bus and Boris Johnson looking like an idiot waving our flag and getting it tangled. That was such an embarrassment to England, it was clear no thought had thought about it at all; "the reality tv star, someone from a good band and the mayor or London, that'll do". I know that if Damon gets it he will try hard and i'm sure it will be spectacular, after all, he is a national treasure.
