This DVD is a recording of the final gig of their 2007 world tour filmed in Manchester and won the 'best live dvd' 2009 award from NME. I got this DVD for christmas and watched it a couple of times, I liked it but I wasn't shocked-and-amazed by it. I left it for a while and started watching it again recently and I love it! I recommend for any Monkeys fans. The director has caught some really nice shots of the band and the occasional split screen adds a bit of difference to it. There isn't much of Alex talking to the crowd which is a little disappointing but there is a bit that made me laugh when he says the cameras are for the 'live showing of the concert in the centre of Berlin' and the crowd go crazy. He also debates to the crowd about whether to take his jumper off or not that is quite amusing. The band don't sound much different live or change the songs to fit the crowd, so it's listenable as background music instead of a film which saves you having to fork out for the CD as well, unless you want it of course. The songs flow well and have a nice mix of album tracks and b-sides so you find yourself thinking 'ooo, I don't know this one', but then of course i went and got hold of them afterwards. If you're an Arctic Monkeys fan then you have to have this dvd. it's quality.
