even though my number one resolution is to save money and fund a car, i can't help looking on shop websites and creating looks on polyvore and just wanting to spend money. i'm going to stick to my guns though and save save save.
i think part of it is that i'm worried i'll have nothing to wear to college and i want to make sure i have plenty. even though my wardrobe is full. i just think i need to spend a night proving to myself that i can mix and match outfits to make everything look different.
i can't buy much with my current nine pounds after i spent it all in the sales, but it'll soon mount up again when my folks start giving me pocket money again. and since its so hard for me to find a job, i clean my grans house for a few hours a week. i used to get embarrassed by it, but i'm not complaining about five pounds an hour.
i think this whole polyvore business isn't helping my shopping addiction. i'm just throwing together looks and it's making me want to go and buy it all. i could do with a few more skirts anyway.
i checked out the local 'new look' sale yesterday and there was a really nice navy blue and floral dress for five pounds. i couldn't believe it. i was going to try it on when i realised why it was so cheap, the zip was completely busted and unmednable. the only reason someone would buy it was if they wanted the fabric. i was so gutted because i really loved it.
i go out to this restaurant with my friends every now and again called nandos, and we have another meal planned, likely to be the end of january, so when thats out of the way i'm going to put a whole load of money in one of my accounts. i'm so worried i wont be able to buy a car. who wants a licence without anything to drive?
i have everything i need, the things i want to buy are things i want but aren't a necessity, so i need to get my head straight, stop being so greedy and put my money towards something useful instead of something that will probably go out of fashion in a few years.

  1. That polyvore look is great. Sounds like you have the same problem as me though - it's just too easy to go shopping and buy a new outfit when you know really if you rummaged through your wardrobes you could put a perfectly good one together!
Urgh, I still haven't learnt to drive - I think I'm going to be taking public transport for the rest of my life! x

  2. haha yeah exactly! i have plenty of clothes, my wardrobe is litterally bursting but i just need to prove to myself that my tops look nice with different jackets etc-.

i feel the same about public transport. i have no problems with catching the train, but buses are so expensive. i'd much rather have my own car so you can go where you want when you want
